ABOUT ME
I come from an interesting family and was brought up by my bohemian, very forward looking mother. Whilst pregnant, my mother suffered from toxemia and a naturopath saved her and the baby. Through this she became interested in food reform and complementary health. Her passion for holistic health and spiritual well being rubbed off on me and was very much part of my bringing up.
BACKGROUNDIn my teens my journey took off. My hunger for knowledge was relieved by the wealth of literature from both Eastern and Western thinking I found hidden in the Library Stack where I worked. It was awesome! On a practical level I studied yoga and meditation. I was greatly influenced by Eastern thinking. I then trained in the Health Food Trade where I took courses on nutrition and vitamins.
Here started my interest in helping others as I realised how many had no idea how not only the food we eat directly influences us but what we think and feel does also. I then studied psychology and trained as a secondary school teacher. Alongside all this I became more interested in the Western approach and trained in the Ageless Wisdom that combines Eastern and Western principles.
In 1994 when my boys started primary school I consolidated all my skills and became a complementary practitioner. I have always seen myself more as a facilitator and assisting people in bringing out their own healing energy and vital force potential. I assist my clients by drawing from all my related knowledge and experience to help them.
I wanted to share some of my tools so taught Energy Healing classes and Reiki in Adult Education in 2000. Having been trained in the Western Teachings I developed my own Introductory courses to address the areas I had not been taught when I learnt Reiki. My practitioner skills were greatly enhanced when I came across ZB - this was the first therapy I had encountered that taught the principles I worked with. I finally trained in Kinesiology with The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology in London. Systematic Kinesiology is a wonderful therapy and it too combines Eastern and Western principles. It really empowers the client as it provides practical tools that can really make quite dramatic changes in their life.
I enjoy practising and love the variety of the work. I believe in what I do and and have regular sessions myself.
CURRENT WORKI love meeting all sorts of people and learn so much. I find it an enormous privilege being part of an individual's journey. Seeing people's spark reignited once they have conquered some illness or emotional issue that was holding them back and/or stepping out on a spiritual journey is such reward. I particularly enjoy passing on practical tools that I have found empowering so others can use them to enhance and enrich their daily living.
